We are thrilled that we by virtue of its FlexoBPM tool set have been named one of the five "Cool Vendors" in the March 2009 “Cool Vendors in Business Process Management, 2009” report by Gartner, Inc. They define a cool vendor as a company that offers technologies or solutions that are: Innovative, enabling users to do things they couldn’t do before; Impactful, having, or will have, business impact (not just technology for the sake of technology); Intriguing, having caught Gartner’s interest or curiosity in approximately the past six months. Indeed, according to Gartner, the cool vendor "has assumed the challenge of creating a solution addressing two needs: - less-complex business process modeling for business users, and - the "operationalization" of process documentation. Its FlexoBPM Tool Set combines a userfriendly modeling tool (FlexoBPM Business) with a collaborative portal (FlexoBPM Server), and offers services on top of the process models." In out view, " even though BPMN is a widely accepted and understood standard, the business process modeling task is still often viewed by business users as too abstract and difficult to handle — and is, therefore, often assigned to external, non-business experts far from the operational realities. To counter this, Denali seeks to engage business users in the modeling process through the concept of Agile Business Process Analysis (BPA). Agile BPA seeks to foster the enthusiasm of the business users by incorporating elements such as iterative prototyping, animation, storyboards and collaborative documentation, all of which are supported by the FlexoBPM Tool Set. The ability to publish this documentation in a process-centric manner — and to update it through user-friendly wikis — helps management, business, IT and users to collaboratively contribute to continuous business improvement, and to share a common, process-centric view of the organization." |
